Make This Wine Blog Publisher PAY UP!
It has been among the singlular achievements of the wine blogging world since it first got off the ground in the mid 2000s that its members have consistently and regularly supported one another. This more than anything else makes me proud to be a part of that community.
A perfect example of this community support is the WINE BLOGGER CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIP FUND.
Each year, contributions from bloggers and wine blogging supporters allow this scholarship fund to raise cash to subsidize the attendance of numerous bloggers at the annual Wine Bloggers Conference.
The fund still needs a bit more support for the 2012 Wine Bloggers Conference coming up in August in Portland.
MY CHALLENGE TO MY READERS IS TO HELP THE WINE BLOGGERS CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIP FUND GET TO WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE.
I WILL MATCH ALL CONTRIBUTIONS UP TO A TOTAL OF $500 BETWEEN NOW AND JULY 20.
This means if YOU give $50 and you over there give $100 and you over there give $20 and you in corner give $30 and you generous person over there give $300, I'll match these contributions until the sum reaches $500 total. This way, we can raise another $1000 to assure the Scholarship Fund has the resources to brin the bloggers to Portland.
You can donate as little as $1, $5, $10, all the way up to 1000s of dollars.
Help relieve me of $500 by helping the Wine Bloggers Conference Scholarship Fund.
If you want your donation to be part of this matching challenge, make your donation then send an email off to the Scholarship fund and tell them in the Subject line: "Make Tom Wark Pay Up". This will assure your contribution is part of the pool that I will match.

WE DID IT!!!
Really awesome of you to do this Tom. I am one of those that have been blessed with a scholarship this year. I am extremely grateful to all those that have contributed and glad to hear that many others are able to join me in attending with a scholarship.
I hope to meet you at #wbc12 and thank you in person for your efforts and contributions.
