Gallo Can be just plain mean!

This isn’t "Just Business".  It’s just MEAN!

Someone over at Gallo should be ashamed of themselves.

Pushing a homemaker this hard isn’t what businesses should do…particularly when no harm has been done.

I’ve said a few mean things about Gallo in the past. They have been extraordinarily anti-wine industry in some cases. So they’ve deserved what I said.

But this isn’t Anti-wine industry. It’s Anti-People.

    Pretty damned mean.
It also reminded me of the time Gallo tried to sue the Chianti region of Tuscany, Italy, over it’s use of the Gallo Nero (Black Rooster), a symbol it’s had since sometime in the 13th Century!
Talk about ballsy and over reactive! (over zealous & over protective come to my mind as well)
No one who’s ever had a Chianti could possibly mistake a Gallo wine for the Italian product…
What a bunch of idiots they sound like.

I honestly can’t remember even having had any Gallo wines, but I’m certain that I won’t be trying any in the future. I wonder if they feel proud of themselves?

They also recently tried to prevent the importation of Moscato Giallo which means “Yellow Muscat”! Maybe they should go after Jello, deeper pockets!

The Gallo’s arn’t alone here. Chateau St. Michelle sued the Istituto Agrario di S. Michele all’Adige, the fine wine shool in Trentino/Alto Adige, and prevented them from exporting any of their tiny production to the USA.

It’s mean, yes but the problem with trademakr infringements with large companies is that they have to be consistant. Example — some kindergartners at a school decide to paint a mural using Disney characters. Disney sneds them a cease-and-desist notice – why? These kids have no intention of making money off the mural, and it’s children. Doesn’t matter. The company has to be consistent or they will in turn face lawsuits. It is a slippery slope. Not that I agree with it – but I do understand. They have to go after it – whether they win or not.

Gallo the corporation and Gallo family, Gallo exectutives are the most un-ethical, back biting, back stabbing, could care less about anyone other than themselves and their bottom line than any other large entity in the wine industry. They are so full of propagandistic rhetoric about their products that only a complete idiot would buy into their crap…. and being protective about the name Gallo shows just how ridiculous they really are but then again most of the wine industry thinks they lay claim to terminology on the label ie.. Duckhorn believes they own the name Duck. So we should let Gallo own that name because they act like big dicks with wine that is fitting for swine.
