National Fermentation Wine Blog Day!!!

Today is the first day of August. In fact, it’s the first of what is clearly a very important culinary month. Consider these very important dates:

August 1: National Raspberry Cream Pie Day
August 2: National Ice Cream Sandwich  Day
August 3: National Watermelon Day
August 4: National Chocolate Chip Day
August 5: National Waffle Day
August 9: National Rice Pudding Day
August 10: National Smores Day
August 14: National Creamsicle Day
August 13: National Filet Mignon Day
August 18-20: National Personal Chef’s Days
August 21: National Spumoni Day
August 23: National Sponge Cake Day
August 24: National Peach Pie Day
August 25: National Bannana Split Day
August 26: National Cherry Popsicle Day
August 28: National Cherry Turnover Day
August 30: National Toasted Marshmallow Day
August 31: National Trail Mix Day

Now, I realize that sponge cake, toasted marshmallows, waffles and trail mix are important and historic national culinary items, but if there is room for a "spumoni day and "cherry popsicle day" then there must be room somewhere over 365 days for a "National FERMENTATION Wine Blog Day". Hell, I’d settle for a "National Fermentation Day" and just usurp it for my own.
