KensWineGuide.com – I print out his recommendations and bring them to my local wine store and try new wines that I probably would never have tried. Ken’s reviews are spot on!
Every Valentine’s Day we have a big party and it’s fun to introduce my friends to the wines in his practical party case.
A personal favorite
KensWineGuide.com has useful tasting notes, useful links to area and national events. The site is informative, entertaining and at the top of my wine bookmarks.
KensWineGuide.com is my first choice! I’ve found some wonderful new wines and learned a lot about different varietals and producers, as well as my own taste in wine. Thanks, Ken!
We nominate KensWineGuide.com!
GWU20$, http://goodwineunder20.blogspot.com/
Looks like someone already nominated our site (thanks!) but I would like to add a few comments about how our format differs from most wine reviewing blogs because this seems to tie in to the presentation element of the judging criteria.
Since blogs are not the best at offering an easy way for visitors to query wines based on specific search criteria, we customized the database and interface to allow readers to search for wines based on vintage, varietal, region, price, score, review date, 90+ wines, popular regions, etc.
Unfortunately, blog technology does not offer this functionality so we modified our database and interface. Our readers and vintners appreciate the extra time we spent on building a search mechanism that allows them to narrow their search to find exactly what they are looking for:
http://www.enobytes.com/wine_reviews
We also post monthly wine picks and event tasting notes. We are also the first to review winery tasting rooms.
…ALL of these different types of reviews are rolled into our “Wine Regions of the World” series where we graphically display winery data along with our wine reviews and tasting room reviews with the use of satellite imagery, maps, terrain data and 3D buildings using Google Earth technology: http://enobytes.org/wine_blog/2008/02/04/wine-regions-of-the-world-oregon-willamette-valley/ Whoo hoo! It’s a lot of work, but vintners and readers alike appreciate and commend the efforts 🙂
This is our passion – we would greatly appreciate everyone’s vote when the voting begins!

The Wine Spies regularly present an incredibly wide range of wines, along with the personal story behind each winery and vintner. We also get to learn about the great many small wineries that produce real gems.
The wine spies at http://www.thewinepies.com
They are the best!!
The Wine Spies (http://thewinespies.com) is pretty cool and unique. And they make wine fun, accessible and understandable instead of stuffy and boring.
I nominate http://ambassadorofwine.blogspot.com/
it’s rad
A tough catagory – reviews by most are usually the repeating of the information supplied by the winery; with http://thewinespies.com you get this information and the original “taste buds” of Agent White (sometimes some of the other agents) and he and the others are “right on.”
I join with the Los Angeles Best (TV show in LA market and on the internet) and nominate, or second the nomination of Agent White and The Wine Spies.
The Wine Spies,
http://thewinespies.com/
Some of the most intelligent wine reviews in the industry. Bravo!
The Wine Spies – hppt://www.thewinespies.com always makes very thorough yet fun reviews
