The first podcast is still the best….informative, friendly, timely, with easy to understand guidance for wine, food and winery operation.

  6. sdmom - February 17, 2008

I nominate napa valley wine radio

  7. Anna - February 17, 2008

Is this even close? WLTV, baby!!
    tv.winelibrary.com
I know that some will want to nominate/have someone else, however, I think we all know who is the best and trust me, Im as “against-the-grain, anti-establishment” as the next person.

  12. Mary B. - February 18, 2008

WineCast, for the diversity and originality of their programs.

  13. Colleen - February 18, 2008

I vote for Napa Valley Wine Radio as best podcast because it has recipes, wine education, varietal education, and complete audio. The podcasts are informative and entertaining, with good, solid research and quality production.

  14. mark jardarian - February 18, 2008

They have answered ALL of my wine related questions! Lot’s of enjoyment.

  15. annie - February 18, 2008

I love Napa Valley Wine Radio. The podcasts are wonderful and I have learned some great information. Can’t wait for more.

  16. annie - February 18, 2008

Napa Valley Wine Radio is my new best friend!

  17. Bob Stuart - February 18, 2008

For the classiest and most encompassing wine podcast Napa Valley Wine Radio stands above the rest

  18. Eunice Stuart - February 18, 2008

    I strongly agree

  19. Dr. Debs - February 18, 2008

    Winecast

  21. Jon lenzi - February 18, 2008

by far the best use of video
    in a blog about wine
    http://www.adoptagrape.org
    also
    http://www.donandsonsfilms.com

  22. Jon Bjork - February 19, 2008

    I never miss winelibrarytv.com!
    I’ll also nominate graperadio.com and napavalleywineradio.com.

  23. Tracy Reasoner - February 20, 2008

There is no question the best wine blog video is http://tv.winelibrary.com/
Gary Vaynerchuk The dude has over 400 episodes and is teaching everyone to trust and develop their own pallet. Any other winner but him would be ridiculous.

  24. Johnny paycheck - February 20, 2008

Gary Vannerchuck is boring..tasting wine in front of a camera is lame. THIS SHOULD NOT WIN. There are better examples of “wine” video podcasts, like http://www.adoptagrape.org
besides, didn’t gary win last year?
Are video wine blogs intended to ultimately sell a bottle of wine…or educate and entertain?

  25. James P - February 21, 2008

    http://www.classicwines.com/wine-videos
    http://www.graperadio.com
Maybe if gary didn’t own a wine store I’d nominate – i agree w tracy.

  27. J. Laube - February 22, 2008

you should re-consider the rules tom.
    I nominate http://www.adoptagrape.org
    I give them a 98!!!!

  28. Annika - February 22, 2008

napavalleywineradio.com is great..very informative, new topics all the time. Fun links to recipes and food and wine pairings.

  29. F. Franzia - February 24, 2008

    I nominate http://www.adoptagrape.org

  30. Randy - February 25, 2008

I don’t believe in self-nominating, so this is not a nomination.
That being said, I think that what Kaz and I bring to wine podcasting is an industry focus (as opposed to a consumer or winemaker focus), while providing a wide range of news and information ranging from Sonoma Valley (where both of us live, and at least Kaz works) to the entire world. We give opinions on the most pressing issues facing the wine industry, and have some of the most interesting people in wine come to talk with us (that is, wine bloggers!)
Have a listen when you can, and we hope to be really, legitimately nominated in coming years.

  31. Justin - February 25, 2008

So I’m in the same boat as Randy. I’m not self nominating either but check out Discover Wine Country TV:
    http://www.discoverwinecountry.tv
We are hoping to build a great video based website that really gives an inside look to this industry. Since we are just launching no one has really heard of us yet but we plan on giving everyone a go next year for this award.

  32. christina - February 26, 2008

I vote for napavalleywineradio.com too. It has a consistent presence and I know it won’t disappear or go silent in 3 months. Also, the quality is great.

  33. Agent Red - February 26, 2008

Is there any question in this category? There are many great nominees in this category, but I predict that WLTV will sweep – and win.
