The Troy Hard Apple Cider is a collaboration of Troy Carter and Tony Coturri, one of Sonoma’s organic winemaking gurus. The bottling is apparently the product of an old apple orchard in Sebastopol in Sonoma County. It is made unfined and unfiltered, with no added sulfites and entirely with wild yeast. Angry Orchard is America’s most popular cider brand, holding something in the vicinity of 40% of the cider market. Owned and produced by The Boston Beer Company, home of Sam Adams Beer, Angry Orchard is the cider you are most likely to find on store shelves and even on beer and wine lists in restaurants. Hogan cider out of England produces ciders and perrys from the famed orchard growing areas of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire counties. The Kingston Black apple is a renowned English cider apple that provides cider blends with the bitterness and acid that well-balanced cider will possess.
