Wine, Seduction & Sex…Oh My!

It has gone unsaid for a long, long time in the the pages of America’s wine magazines…But not any more it seems.

What’s gone unsaid? The connection between wine, seduction and sex. Wine Adventure Magazine will be exploring this topic in a new regular column to be entitled "The Sensual Side" authored by Baroness Sheri de Borchgrave.

According to the press release: "Baroness Sheri de Borchgrave is author of A Dangerous Liaison, which chronicles her brief but eventful marriage to a Belgian baron that sparked a lifelong passion for wine and a taste for la bon vie. She has since written a number of columns on wine and sex, including the ‘Bedroom Baroness" sex advice column for Cosmopolitan magazine."

It seems she has the credentials. What will the column be about?

"Since being a freelancer is such a hard life, I decided to grant myself a pleasant beat and write only about life’s pleasures: food, wine, travel and sex. I think they go together in any combination. What I want to do with this column is investigate wine-play as foreplay. It will be all about seduction with wine."

I like this idea a lot. It puts wine in a context where it is not just another beverage and not a representative of snobbery. It widens the nexus of wine and culture.
