Win Tickets to A Killer Wine Tasting

WHAT WAS THE NAME OF THE FIRST COMMERCIAL WINERY BUILT IN THE LODI REGION AND WHAT YEAR WAS IT BUILT?

Loditiwinefestlogo The first person to answer this question correctly will receive two tickets to LODI'S TREASURE ISLAND WINE FEST taking place Saturday, October 8, 2011, 1pm – 5pm,  at the Pavilion By The Bay on Treasure Island in the middle of the San Francisco Bay (very cool setting!!)

The folks organaizing the event were kind enough to send me two tickets to this large tasting of Lodi wines, but unfortunately I can't make it. That means the person with the quickest accurate response to the above question gets the tickets. The value of the tickets are $130.

The Lodi Treasure Island Wine Fest will feature 45 Wineries pouring more than 200 Lodi appellation wines. In addition, the Fest includes tastings of artisan cheese, olive oils and Wine Country Cuisine and live music.

But here's another cool thing. The event takes place during Fleet Week an the location of the Lodi Wine Fest on Treasure Island will provide you with a great view of Saturday's PARADE OF NAVY SHIPS  at 11:00am, AIR SHOW FLYING from 12:30pm to 3:00pm and THE BLUE ANGELS EXHIBITION from 3:00pm to 4pm.

Over the past 20 years Lodi's reputation for producing killer wines has soared, largely on the back on their abundant Zinfandels, many of which are produced from TRUE old vines. I wish I could have attended this tasting. Best of luck….Now answer the question!
