Every single day I thank the gods that I am fortunate enough to live in such a beautiful and unique spot as Sonoma Valley. I’ve been here for a decade now after spending time in Marin County to the south and San Francisco, further south. I occasionally like to offer FERMENTATION readers a glimpse of this community. Today that glimpse is the crime that infests our small Valley. From today’s Sonoma Index Tribune: "Patrol Car Hit With Baguette""A 23-year-old female…
I think jazz and wine tend to go together so nicely because both have the capacity to make you think while at the same time soaking up real pleasure. It’s why art and wine are often paired. Kaz and Eric always have…

Wark Communications keeps me on my butt and with a phone to my ear a great deal of the time. Too much really. So, when I get the chance to get out I take it. Today was one of those days. I went over to Bucklin Winery’s Old Hill Ranch to take photos of the newly prunned vineyard. Strolling, looking for useful shots, taking in the scenery, talking with Will Bucklin…..all very inspiring. From today’s stroll in the Old Hill…
