Marisa Blogs A Wine Story

The self described "Manhattan-based international food, wine, travel, and lifestyle journalist" Marisa D’Vari has launched a new wine blog she’s calling: "A Wine Story". Marisa has written for a number of publications and now has found herself on to the blogosphere. Marisa lives in the center of the universe (read: New York City) so you can expect, it seems, a slight emphasis on that neck of the woods. A Colorful Display of Wine Extravegance

Last week many of us read about the sale over in London of an extraordinary collection of wine: A 135-Bottle Vertical Collection of Chateau d’Yquem ranging from 1860 to 2003. Lenn Thompson of Lenndevours and Appellation America as well as other information venues seems to me to have combined good information with commerce with the…

A Great New Wine Blog

There is a new MUST READ wine blog in town: BIGGER THAN YOUR HEAD, by Fredric Koeppel. Here’s the bottom line: Fredric Koeppel is, simply, one of the most experienced wine writers in America. For years  (more than 20) he wrote a wine column for the Memphis Tennessean and , as a result of his fair, straightforward advise became one of the most respected columnists in the country. In 2004 he started Koeppel On Wine, still a "go to" wine…
